Minnesota Vikings Report

Post  DEaL Br3AKeR on Sun Feb 19, 2012 2:52 pm

The Vikings went on the road for week three to face their division rival Detroit Lions. The Vikings got off to a fast start and never looked back scoring three total defensive touchdowns for the game. Christian Ponder only missed twice while hooking up on two scores with Percy Harvin who had his first one hundred yard game of the season. Adrian Peterson also was able to get things going adding one hundred thirty yards and two touchdowns of his own. The Lions were able to get a spark in the second half Tyrell Coleman and Calvin Johnson combining for three recieving touchdowns but it was not enough to overcome the early mistakes. The Vikings face a stingy Philly defense next week, lets hope the Purple People Eaters can keep the momentum going.

The Vikings looked lost when they traveled to Philly in week 4. Christian Ponder completed 5 passes to Eagle defenders and continued looking like a rookie again causing talks of a quarterback controversy. The Vikings had very little to cheer about besides Kevin Rudolf catching 9 balls for 156 yards but he failed to find the endzone. Adrian Peterson was his usualy stellar self with 119 yards and 2 touchdowns, the Vikings gave up on the run to early and it cost them. AD had no comments after the game. There is a buzz that he has been upset all year not being the focal point in the offense. Up next the Colts who have gotten off to a lack luster 2-2 start of their own. Let's wait and see if Christian Ponder can regain the form that helped the Vikings win the NFC north last year.
